DT post for OSAAT 'Use a digi'

Good morning all, I hope you are all having a fun packed weekend with lots of fireworks and bangs! 

We have a very easy challenge lined up for you this week at One stitch at a time  and the challenge is 'Use a digi'!  Now you can't tell me you don't have at least one hidden on your computer somewhere!!  Come over and join in the fun.

MY CARD!

I have used Dove craft 'let it snow' premium papers for the backing on this card, with dark blue card to layer and cut the boarder which are a fiskars border punch.  The image has been cutout using my Xcut oval die cuts and layered onto the Xcut scalloped oval die cute which I have then embellished with blue mini gems in the scallops.

Side, inside view.  I have used a sset of stamps from Butterfly kisses fot the inside panel and stamped the sentiment and snowflakes int 3 different tones of blue.

The digi is from Gingerloft, in the stitchy bear store called 'snowman with lamp'.  I have used blue tone distress inks to paint the image 'faded jeans' and 'tumbled glass'.  This is the first time I have used this technique for painting an image(but it won't be the last!!)  I have then added clear mini gems as snowflakes around the image and covered the snowman in a clear glitter glue to give him a glistening effect.
