DT card for Craft-Room Challenge 'Emboss it!'

Time for another challenge at the Craft-Room and our challenge this fortnight as my title gives away is 'EMBOSS IT!'

Here is my card

No DP's for this challenge, I have use a Sizzix textures paisley template for the embossed background and distressed it with tim holtz distress inks then matted and layered in browns

This gorgeous stamp is from stamp addicts and has been stamped in brown and then painted in the same tim Holtz distress inks, I have also distressed the edges.  I have then triple embossed using ultra thick embossing powder.

The sentiment is again from stamp addicts and has been distressed and triple embossed as the image

And here is the inside of my card, distressed again......

with another gorgeous owl painted with distress inks, cut out and glued in to finish it off

DT card for Gingerloft 'Freebie challenge'

Here is my card

I have used a freebie backing paper that came with a card making magazine and embossed a layer of light brown card with some leaves 

Side/Inside view

The Koala has been coloured in pro markers and cut out with a Nellie Snellen multiframe, distressed with green and brown and liquid pearled in the scallops

The sentiment is also part of the freebie I believe :o)

Commissioned Wedding card

Well we had some good news on Saturday in the post, a letter saying Theo has been accepted into the original school we requested so we are getting him uniform and having a look around on Wednesday and he will start in Thursday!  Things are starting to look up I think :o)

Here is my card for today

No DP's just some gorgeous yellow card that I have embossed with dots, the colour scheme as requested is yellow, silver and grey.  I box has been created to put it in too.

lid of the box, using a Nellie snellen multi frame heart and and image of Mr & Mrs Potoato head I found on the net then coloured with pro markers( the image is because of a family joke)

The bride and groom s names have been attatched to a spellbinders lables die cut

I have used an easle card shape for the card and again the image has been coloured with pro markers.

DT Project for Forever Night Challenges 'Altered'

Welcome to another Team A challenge at Forevenight challenges, we have no official sponsor this week so I have chosen to showcase a fabulous designer called sureya. you can find her here!

I have altered a 99p cork notice board from the works

Here is the finished product!

I have covered the board in black poster paint, then splashed red acrylic paint and silver calligraphy ink on top

The finished article in use!!

This image is called 'Hollow' he has been flipped over to look across the board, He has been coloured with pro markers and cut out then attatched to the board using silicon glue.

This image is called 'Helios' and has been treated in the same way as Hollow!

The sentiment was created on my computer, cut out with a die and then coloured in red, distressed around the edges and heat embossed using 3 layers of ultra thick embossing powder.

The chain and charm are from my stash!!

I really enjoyed making this and hope you like it :o)

Commissioned cat birthday card.

Still haven't heard about schools for Theo officially, but have been told that a school has been instructed to take him although they are full and have the right to appeal!  Home school is not going too well as he is very uncooperative!!  as you can imagine he still thinks he is on holiday :o(   Hope things sort themselves out soon or my blood pressure will be through the roof!!

So here is today's card

This card has been commissioned for a daughter and cat lover :o)

Papers from dovecrafts lilacs pack, layered with blue as those were the colours given and I think they look great together although I wouldn't have picked them myself, will have to rethink in the future :o)  

Tri fold card, I have used Xcut heart border punch and a Nellie Snellen frame to cut out the first cat that has been inked and liquid pearled around the scallops

The cat images are from Barbara Jensen in the Stitchy bear store called 'two kitties' and come as a set.

I have highlighted them in pro markers to give them some shading.

The sentiment I created on my computer.

DT card for Craft-Room challenge 'Ink it'

Welcome to another challenge at Craft-room and it is my turn to chose the theme this fortnight.  As my poor stamps are being overlooked because of my many digi stamps I thought it was time to make a big effort and start to use them so my theme this fortnight is ' INK IT '  You must use a rubber/acrylic stamp for your main image.  NO DIGI'S!

Make us laugh!

Well we are not having a good time at the moment!  Hubby is very poorly with flu and not man flu this time!!! :o)  And my son Theo, 7 years old, has no school to go to as the schools in the area that we have moved back to are full, and the council(if I may say this) have given us the worst advice from start to finish!  we now might have to appeal to get my son into a school, which will take up to another 6 weeks!!!  I am not a happy mummy at the moment and am very unimpressed with the goings on at the council who have left us in the dark through this whole process and could not even be bothered to phone us to tell us of the problems they were having until we contacted them AGAIN on the friday before they were supposed to start school, which is of course today!!  :o( So he has now missed his first official day of school.  I made him work anyway, but I am no teacher :o(  so a very stressful day has been had by all  :o( 

Well that is my vent for today over, so here is my card

They are asking for us to make them laugh over at Doodle dragons this fortnight, so here is my entry, I thought this image was such fun :o)  I have used Some freebie papers, that came with a Quick cards papercraft magazine, called Summer goodness by Raspberry road designs.
