DT projecct for Craft-Room challenge 'make your own flowers'

Well we had some truly inspirational entries to our travel/postcard challenge this fortnight, so let's see what you can do with our new challenge at Craft-Room challenge this time.  Our challenge is 'make your own flowers'  Now I did wonder what to do for this challenge until I thought 'My husbandnever buys me flowers!'
Well nowhe won't have to as I have created my own that sit on our dining room table!  I hope you like them.

Here is a photo of the items I have used for this project, A vase that was on sale for £3! a bag of pot pourri, some garden sticks, green and black card, and a spellbinders flower die.

here are the flowers cut out and partly put together, I have used a flower on each side of the stick and glued the largest petals together so that you don't see the stick inside!

Here is the fininshed project

A close up of the floers, I have used a large pearl gem at the centre the gems around it to create the flower centre, I have just trimmed thick card stock very thinly  and it swirls naturally for the black stalks
A close up of the vase decoration, created with the same flower but I have added a marianne creatables die swirl to it with gems

I will be entering this project into the following challenges

DT card for Gingerloft 'Christmas or winter' 27th Nov

Well another 2 weeks have passed so it must be time for a challenge over at the Gingerloft and this fortnight our theme is 'Christmas or winter'

here is  a simples card from me this week, just to show you don't have to use colouring/painting products with your digi's if you don't want to :o)

The backing card has been embossed with a snowflake folder and layered onto pink card. I have then wrapped purple cross stitch thread around the bottom before attatching the panel to the card,

Side/inside view

The image is called Swirly tree. I have recoloured the black image to make it purple and pink in my serif 7 computer programme and then layered them onto alternate coloured card and attatched a mini gem in each of the stars

The sentiment is from a free stamp set that I got from a magazine and has again been layered onto pink card

The inside of the card has been created using a white panel layered on pink with purple snowflakes stamped around the edge.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges

Have an Elfin'great Christmas!

OMG I am exhausted!!  I have spent the whole day decorating the school for the Christmas fair tomorrow and the this evening seting up my stall!!  Wish me luck I could do with raising some cash for Christmas!!

My card for today is a Christmas card.

I have used freebie backing papers from a paper craft magazine and layered them on green card.  A border punch has created the effect on the front panel of this Z fold card. I have used an xcut circle die and a nesties scalloped die to create the cicle panels and a snowflake embossing folder on the centre circles.

The 2 images are from 'make it crafty ' christmas collection. I have coloured them with pro markers

Wedding invitations

Well the inviations I mentioned months ago are all finished and have mostly been sent out I belive so I think I am safe to post this now as I did promise you would be able to see them!!

Here is a box full of the first 20 to go out! There were 200 wedding, evening invites and order of services in total!

The Wedding invitation Outside! Both the wedding and evening invite are the same, with a little wording differences! The ribbon was sourced from add some sparkle and the pearlised red/razzleberry card was from the paper box.  I have used an embossing folder (hearts) to create the panel and Nellie snellen multiframe scalloped oval to cut out the 'wedding invitation' sentiment that I created on the computer.  I have used a Martha stewart punch to create the edge and lightly touched it with a tim holtz distress ink. I have then added 3 gems and tied the bow.

Inside!  The invite is made using 2 sqaure cards folded together to get the fold the client wanted.  The coloured card has been used on the bottom to create a pocket for the RSVP to go into.  I have n used 3 gems , a heart gem in the centre to decorate.

The main invite and info has been printed on my computer then I have used a Martha stewart crner punch to decorate the corners, then mounted it onto the card and stuck it onto the centre panel.  I have used the punched out coloured hearts from the pocket panel to add the heart to the invites and RSVP for extra decoration.

Close up of invite(names andvenues have been deleted for obvious reasons!)

Showing the RSVP coming out of the pocket.

Evening invite, same as wedding invite, just different wording.

I am not sure this will qualify for any challenges, but will have a look around!
