DT card for craft-room challenge 'Butterflies'

Well teh two weeks have flown by again and we are back for another challenge at the craft-room.
This fortnight our theme is 'butterflies' and I took the chance to use one of the stamps I have in my collection that I haven't used in years!  The stamp is a medallion stamp, but it doesn't say on the stamp whomade it so if anyone know I would love to hear so I can give them a mention! So stop on over to craft-room challenge and join us again :o)

I have kept it fairly simples this time, I embossed the base layer of black card withswirls, then layered it in gold mirror card. I used some sticky roibbon for my stash accross the bottom.

Side view to show the layers :o)

the next layer the stamp has been stamped with  versa mark and heat embossed with gold powder. The layer has been mounted onto more gold mirror card and has 4 brads, one in each corner.

I have then gittered all the layers of the butterfly with varying shades of green, and added some mini gems.

I hope you like it :o)

Under the sea

Good morning all, I hope you all had a lovely weekend :o) My project this morning is another of my canvases, so please take a look and let me know what you think!

The background is painted with Twinkling H2O's fading from yellow to dark green, then splattered with gold Calligraphy ink to give it some more shine.  The clam shell, sea weed and smalle leaves have all been heat embossed using gold or silver.

Picture hanging on the wall!

Close up of the leaves and seaweed.  I have atatched the shells using silicon glue.

The sentiment is a stamp from my stash, but it is an old one from a set and I don't know who made it.  It has been stamped onto nesties lables dies and I have used cross stitch thread to attatch it to the side of t he canvas.  I have also added gems.

The image is from Kelley kids at the stitchy bear store called 'starlite 5', she has been printed large and coloured with pro markers. I have glittered her tail and instead of usingthe earing in the picture I have cut it off and used a jump ring and small shell to crate her earing.

I hope you like it :o)
