Oldest Rocker in town!

Well I would say good morning to you all, but I am so tired and stinky from not showering yet that it's not that good at the moment.  My youngest son decided to dive off the arm of the sofa last night head first!  Then go all floppy on us.  So I called Drs out of hours who sent an ambulance and they decided we needed to go to the hospital and be checked out :o(  So  off we go in the ambulance with Jake strapped to a blow up splint screaming because he can't move(actually he managed to get his feet out of the splint before we even left the school car park!)  but still he screamed for 40 mins all the way to the hospital.  They checked him over and took the splint off then decided to keep us in over night to observe  him as the journey back is quite a way if he was sick or went down hill.  He is fine, woke up this morning smiling at me over the cot and then persisited in running off the ward into the corridor with me chasing him every 5 mins until dad came to pick us up! Thank you for taking great care of myson Wonford A&E, I am very greatful, but I am also veryhappy to be home! One good thing so far today is a wonderful suprise, I won challenge 50 at
card :o)  Thank you Bee you made my day :o)

So onto todays card

The backing papers are again Pink petticoat( I wanted to use them up and not put them in mydrawer for years!) And I have matted in brown and blue.  I have wrapped cross stitch thread around the centre square. I also added two buttons at the side of the card threaded with cross stitch thread.
The image is again from Kenny K called 'Groove dude' and I have again coloured with pro markers and cut him out then layered him on with foam pads.

I created the sentiment on my computer and inked with blue and brown.

Again I created this star and sentiment on my computer and inked with brown and blue.

Good evening all, hope you have all had a good day?  Well there are a lot of masculine or male challenges out there at the moment, so I made 2 today, I will show you one now and one tomorrow.

Oh and I have just found out I won top 3 at Scrapalicious USA with my Gingerloft Asian screen card  :o)  Thank you ladies.

I have matted them onto blue and brown, and put a piece of ribbon on the top layer.  The image is mounted onto the largest Nesties (not sure what shape this is called!) and I have inked it (distressed it) with blue and brown ink.

The image is called 'Teen idol' from Kenny K downloads and I have coloured him in with promarkers cut him out, then mounted him onto the nesties die cut with foam pads.

The sentiment is from The greeting farm and has been punched out with a 1.5" circular punch, which has again been inked with blue and brown. and a button has been added and threaded with brown cross stitch thread.

the corner has been cut out of some of the leftover paper and matted onto brown, then another button has been added.

Fairies!

Good morning all, my son is off on a trip to the beach today with the school, so you can guess what the weather is going to do!!  Take your rain coats and umberellas!  hee hee!!!

Todays card is using an image from one of my favourite digi designers of the moment, Bonna Kelley from Kelley kids at the Stitchy bear store.

I have again used freebie backing papers from magazines from my drawer for this card and used a fiskars boarder punch down the edges of the 2 triangle sections at the bottom of the card.
The stars are all sizzix diecuts, and I have embossed them with a sizzix embossing folder, then inked them in yellow, with purple around the edge.

this image is called 'Starlite fairy' and you can find her here.   I have coloured her with pro markers and added some glitter to the wings and hair.

The swirls are a marianne creatables die and I have added mini gems and the sentiment is a stamp( don'tknowwhere from tho' sorry!)

DT call for Pollycraft

Well Good morning all, I am not goining to jinx it by mentioning the weather, so I will crack on with todays post.  PollyCraft are having a DT call and it would be so rude not to show my support.  so here is my card made with the freebie 'Sonny's Party' and the challenge is Ribbons and flowers.

The backing papers are freebie papers from a magazine I have had in my stash for years!  I am trying to start using them up, it's gonna take me a while as I have a drawer full!!!  The doily is a Nellie snellen die cut that I have cut out of white card and stitched cross stitch thread around the outside.

As I said this image is called Sonny's party, and I have coloured her in with pro markers and cut her out then added her to the card with foam pads.

The flowers are silk flowers, I have added some copper metal flowers to the centre that I found in a jewellery shop and tha a mini gem for the centre of the metal flower.  The leaves are a Marianne creatables die that I have cut out with white card then used bronze metal magic and versa  mark clear ink to heat emboss them to roughly the same colour as the flower centres.

The button is from my stash and the ribbon is a do crafts one.

The sentiment is from Crafty sentiments and the bronze flower charm is again from my local jewellery shop.

DT post for Craftroom Challenge

Wow what a turnout we had for our first challenge, my fingers are red raw!  Thank you to everyone who took part itwas a fantastic success.  Let's hope you enjoy our next challenge as much!  This challenge has been chosen  by Kim and the challenge is 'Altered paper dolls'.  Now I didn't even know what these were when she suggested it so she explained it all and let me tell you I had a blast!!   I wasn't brave enough to try one from sratch for my first attempt so U took the easy route and found a fantastic site out in web world that has some amazing black templates for you to use. That site is called http://paperthinpersonas.com/ and I spoke to the lovely Rachel Cohen who thankfully let me use her fab templates for this challenge.  Thank you Rachel I don't think I could have done this one without your help!.

So here are my dolls

I used a pirate ship backdrop that I found as a blank image on the net, I'm not sure who made it but if anyone knows I would love to give them credit.  I coloured the whole backdrop with promarkers.

I have coloured the main sections in pro markers.  Them I added layers of lace and threaded some silver thread through the vest.  I added gems on the bracelets and glitter and gem on the belt.

For this doll I again coloured the main in pro markers, I have used black flock for a suede effect on the boots and hat, Glitter on the jacket with gems and a feather on the hat.

I will be entering this project into the following challenges

Here is my project

First I usedthe image 'star' and created 3 different sizies on a piece of card and printed it out, I then coloured them and cut them out and attatched them together with jump rings,  I added a chain tail and a star bead on the bottom.

In the garden

Morning all, well the photo session was a complete disaster!  Jake would not sit there for the photo, he just sreamed the whole time and kept getting down.  We tried 4 times after letting him calm down each time but my little darling knows what he doesn't want!  So we will just have the one of Theo on his own that was taken earlier in the day.  Hope he wasn't making faces too!

Anyway onto today's card

The black and white spotted paper is another Pink petticoat paper, and the red is just embossed with a dotty embossing folder.  The ribbon is attatched to a piece of black card that I have used my trusty Fiskars lace boarder punch on.

The Digi image is from Digi doodle shops best called 'ladybug' isn't it cute?  I have coloured it with pro markers and cut it out with nesties dies, and inked the white one with red ink.

The sentiment is a Lili of the valley stamp set and have punched it out then inked it with red.

The cute ladybirds at the bottom are a small sizzix die .

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

School's out, the monsters are loose!

Well did I lie about the weather yesterday or what, It was honestly beautiful when I wrote my post, then the heavens opened, so I am not going to tempt fate today.  No mention of the S** word at all!  My sons have their school photo today, I haven't bought one of them in the last 2 years as my oldest always seems to make weird faces during the photo shoot, let's hope things go better today (am not expecting too much though as my 21month old will be sitting in on this one!!!!)

Onto today's card

I have used Pink petticoat backing papers for this card and my trusty old Fiskars boarder punch.

The stamp is from Lili of the valley called 'Aeroplane' and has been coloured with pro markers.  I have distressed the wheet of white card with brown ink around the edges.

I have wrapped more thread around the base of the topper(seems to be my favourite thing at the moment!) Then I have attatched the sentiment circle (again from Lili of the valley) which has been inked with orange and brown.

I have threaded the buttons and attatched them to the bottom of the card.
