Steam punk and Machines!

Good afternoon everyone.  Well I must apologise for not posting yesterday.  I made 4 cards, but not one of them could be used yet as they were all for design teams or guest design slots.  You will see one of them tomorrow over at Digi doodles so keep your eyes open for that!

So for todays card I thought I would try the Steampunk and machines challenge at crafty cardmakers.  Now I don't know much about this style but here is my attempt!

So I used the sketch from Pink elephant to base this card on.  And instead of design papers I used 2 different embossing folders, dots and a cuttle bug folder(not sure what it's called but it's from their princess collection!)

I have combined 2 digi images for this card,   'Chain & Cog' and 'Steampunk fairy'both from the same designer Delicious Doodles.  You can find her over at the stitchy bear store!

I have layered both digi's so they stand out and have attatched some metal beads/charms to the cogs and mini gems to a cog and the chain.  The fairy has been coloured with pro markers and glittered on the wings with mini gems for decortation.

The sentiment has been punched and inked, and the charm has been attatched to the ribbon and bow.

The buttons have been threaded with cross stitch thread and the rebel sentiment has been embossed then inked.
