Well we still have the freezing cold weather, but there is no sign of that lovely white stuff that seems to elude my son every year!! We live in 2 places and every time it snows at one we seem to be at the other. My son thinks he is some kind o f snow repelent, poor thing!!lol.
Anyway on to today's card. Quite appropriate for all this cold weather don't you think? I am sure we all know someone who has gone down with a cold or some awful bug. This image is from http://karensdoodles.com/. Head on over and check it out they have some fabulous images for you to purchase. I have used pro markers to colour the digi stamp. The flower themed papers were free from a magazine.
This image is soooo cute!!
The sentiment has been printed on my computer and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.
Well it certainly feels cold enough to be, although we have not had the snow yet here in Sidmouth! Maybe this will make me feel as though we have though as there is so much snow in the card!lol. This is such a lovely stamp to work with. The stamp is from lili of the valley so head on over as they have some beautiful designs in.(Am hoping to get some for Christmas, but I don't think Santa knows where to find my crafting goodies as I always have to buy them myself!!lol).
Any way, back to the card. I chose the papers I was going to use first, decorated , matted and layered the card to the sketch design then coloured the image with pro markers and used glitter for the tinsel.
I used pearl gems to embellish. and the sentiment is from papermania, which i have stamped onto a nestabilities die cut.
Well here was a fun project I have to admit! And I have been wearing one ever since I made them!!lol I do love using shrink plastic and it is so easy to create simple jewellery with it. I stamped The image with Stazon onto frosted shrink plastic and coloured with pro markers. I cut them out and punched holes top and bottom before I put them in the oven and viola as soon as they came out they were a piece of jewellery ready to happen!. The chain itself is made out of some cross stitch thread I have had hanging around for years! Just cut 4 times more than you need for a chain fold it in half, tape one end to the table and twist the rest unitl it has all been done, then fold in half and let it twist on itself and tie a knot in the end. So simple yet very effective.
Well it is Thursday already and I don't know where this week has gone!! I have been busy crafting I just haven't had the time to put it all on the Blog so I will do a few today to keep you up to speed! Here is my entry for the http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/ challenge Tag it!
I have used a tag template and drawn and cut around it and applied 2 sets of paper to it then inked the edges with black ink.
I have used the same papers to matt and layer the card.
I have used a marianne creatable die to cut the flourish in the corner and a snowflake punch with glitter and a gem to embellish.
I have used the KK christmas shopping image and coloured with pro markers, and added glitter and gems to embellish.
For the sentiment I have used nestabilities lable die and See D's sentiment and snowflake stamp.
Well it's Friday again and I don't know where this week went. I am trying to get ready for craft fairs I am doing for the next 2 weekends, why is it you never feel you have enough items to take but you end up bringing most of it home anyway?
So Glitter and Glitz for lili of the valley, well here is the card i have created, I used pro markers to colour the image, and have embellished with flowers and ribbon and pearlidoodles and of corse GLITTER!
OMG Kenny K Downloads are looking for new design members for December. My favourite digi stamps ever and there could be the slightest possibilty I could get to be part of the design team for six months. That would be my absolute dream! Know ther is no way it will happen but it is still a lovely dream. I just have to choose 2 of my best cards here and see how I go. Will take some time to choose the right cards and post them here later. Wish me luck every one! Think I will need it with all you talented bunch out there!! lol
Have a great night, I have to make my nieces birthday card tonight so will have a busy one!
Well here is my nieces birthday card, I will be entering it the KK challenge for this week 'Spots and sparkle', I will also use this as one of my 2 entries for the KK design team comp! I have embossed the swirls with kaliedoscope clear embossing powder(although you can't see it too well in the photo!) The image is Kenny K's download diva, and I have coloured her with pro markers then used flowers, gems and punched items to embellish.
Well, didn't quite know what to get anyof them, so I decided to make it instead. I have used card bags and folded a 12cm x 10cm piece of card over it and attached with staples. I then covered the front of the card with paper and decorated with stamped images, coloured with pro markers and glittered, and pucnhed snowflakes. I then filled the bags with sweets and chocolates!! Yum Yum!! Might just keep them for myself!!
The challenge this week at http://scrap-creations1.blogspot.com/ is Christmas. Kristen's design consisted of black and red colours and I liked the sound of that so I have kind of gone with the same thing only added some touches of green for the foliage!
I have used a lili of the valley stamp, pro markers, snowflake punch, nestabilities scalloped circles die, marianne designs flourish die, backing papers and a sentiment.
Close up of the image(sorry the camera didn't want to focus properly!)
I have taken this opportunity to create another notelet card. I have used a lili of the valley stamp and pro markers to colour, with glitter applied to the wings. This is made just like an easle card and you just add the notelets and pen to the base.
